The word Kailas originates from the word crystal in Sanskrit. Because the ice-covered Kailash looks like a crystal. In Tibetan, its name is Gango Rinpoche. In Tibet, the Buddhist guru Padmasambhava is called Rinpoche. Mount Kailash is named after him. Money is a precious gem made of ice.

It is said in Ramayana that this lake was created by Ravana, an ardent devotee of Shiva.

5. Many people say that Kailash changes place so Kailash's journey is not possible. Scientists say there is no magnetic field in Kailash. That's why some compasses don't work. No one could go to Kailash as God and Evil Lake were surrounded.
